Job satisfaction

How satisfied are you with your Work life?

Are you dissatisfied with your job and have you thought about quitting at least once? Frustration at the job often has nothing to do with the work being carried out, but rather with your own attitude.

Job dissatisfaction

So before you resolutely "throw in the towel" and quit your current job, it makes sense to deal with the state of dissatisfaction.

In many cases, dissatisfaction in the employment relationship has to do with unfulfilled expectations. Employees are particularly often frustrated when they do not receive sufficient recognition, when there are insufficient opportunities for development or when the financial remuneration is too low. You have probably already thought about changing jobs at one point or another. If the state of dissatisfaction is also your constant companion and several factors are no longer right, you should also do so. However, if you are not necessarily permanently dissatisfied, it often helps to simply enjoy your work again and this does not necessarily require a job change, just a different point of view.

Have realistic expectations!

To be content and happy on every level is of course the aspiration of all people. Anyone who always wants to be happy therefore also longs for a permanently euphoric state. But let's be honest: Long-term job satisfaction is undoubtedly not achievable on a permanent basis - just as little as in a relationship or in private life in general. Rather, you should see the big picture and realize that happy or successful moments at work are not the norm, just the icing on the cake. Once you have taken this step and realized the positive in your job and stop emulating unrealistic expectations, you take a lot of pressure out of the situation for yourself.

In general, it helps in many situations to simply ignore the emotions and practice a realistic view of the job. Bear in mind that you do not have to make the company your business, but only provide the required service. Also, be aware that managers are not there to praise you all the time. An objective attitude usually prevents frustration and helps to distance oneself from certain situations.

The way to luck

Employees who are able to work completely independently, describe themselves as “happy”. However, this is not always possible in most professions and especially in salaried jobs. Striving for a state that cannot be achieved, however, inevitably leads to frustration. If you want to experience more happy moments at work, then stop being angry and concentrate on fighting for more freedom in your work area. So you see, a different perspective can go a long way when it comes to satisfaction.
