New Work, Generation Y - what is that and what influence does it have on future changes in our working world?

According to well-known studies, motivational motives have changed depending on the generation. Money alone is no longer enough for a company to remain attractive to employees in the long term. A new mindset emanates above all from those born between 1981 and 1995, i.e. Generation Y.

New Work means setting new standards and demands for employee satisfaction. Various factors such as digitization, flexible work arrangements (home office, etc.), work-life balance are becoming increasingly important. 

Why should a company deal with this? Quite simply to counteract the shortage of skilled workers. Qualified employees are rare and without benefits and sought-after work factors, it will be almost impossible to address desired employees in the future.

Companies that live New Work have less fluctuation and are much more attractive on the job market. This is also shown by a study "Workplace of the Future", in which 46,5 percent of employees demand more freedom and a better work-life balance. 89 percent of the companies surveyed in Austria are convinced that they will benefit from working conditions in the sense of New Work in the "War of Talents".

The needs of the employees are the focus, in order to keep up with the times, attention must be paid to:

Digitization should no longer be a foreign word, implement everyday digital processes in your organization.
